Winter wonderland

Woke this morning to a most beautiful sight.  After two days of horrendous weather and the dreaded lurgy that is going around, woke to a lovely cold morning surrounded by snow.  Not much admittedly but the mountains have received a good dump.

A pity we could not ski today as we had committed to going to Canberra for the day.  So as we drove I revisited my “Handbook of Indigo Dyeing” by Vivien Prideaux.  Next more sunny day I may start a vat if all works.  The drive to Canberra was horrendous just out of Jindabyne.  It took us an hour to get to Berridale.  Normally takes me 20 minutes.  Cars were all over the road.

At least the trip was worth it as we went to see a Lithuanian group Lost Clog from Melbourne perform for the lithuanian community.  A very entertaining high class performance.  They perform at various festivals in Melbourne area. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with friends in the community.
